INTRODUCTION

Dry Fasting Companion Pro (“the App”) is published by MGKANE LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

The App is a wellness and fasting‑tracking app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account: Your email address, collected at signup for authentication and account recovery.

Health and Wellness Data (user‑entered): Body weight, waist measurements, sleep quality, energy levels, mood, thirst levels, fasting start/end times and durations. You choose what to enter.

Location (GPS): Collected ONLY during active Walking Tracker sessions, foreground only. Used solely to measure walking distance and record your route. Not used for advertising. Not sold. Not shared with third parties.

AI Coach Chat Data: When you use the AI Coach, we transmit your chat messages and fasting/wellness context (fast timing, weight, milestones, daily log summary) to our servers and to our AI service provider (Google Gemini) to generate coaching responses.

App Activity: Crash reports and basic diagnostic data for app stability.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• Email — account authentication and recovery
• Health logs — personal progress tracking and AI Coach context
• Location — walking distance calculation during active sessions
• AI chat messages and context — generate AI coaching responses
• Crash data — identify and fix bugs

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

4. DATA STORAGE

• Fasting logs, health entries, preferences — stored on your device
• Account profile and credentials — stored on our secure backend servers
• AI coaching chat history — stored on your device only, until you tap Clear
• Walking route data — stored on your device only
• AI chat payloads — processed transiently on our servers during the request/response cycle only; not retained beyond that

5. THIRD‑PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share data with the following providers only to operate the App. We do not sell data to any of them for their own purposes.

• Render (render.com) — Backend API hosting. Receives: chat payloads, account API traffic.
• Google LLC / Gemini AI — AI response generation. Receives: chat messages and fasting/wellness context. Acts as our service provider only. To our knowledge, Gemini API data is not used to train public AI models (see ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms).
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — Subscription management. Receives: App user ID, purchase status.
• Authentication provider — Account login. Receives: email, authentication tokens.

These providers process data only on our instructions and may not use your data for their own marketing or to build profiles for unrelated purposes.

6. AI‑GENERATED CONTENT

The AI Coach produces responses generated by artificial intelligence. These responses are not medical advice, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and should not be relied upon for medical decisions.

7. DATA RETENTION

• Account data — retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request
• Health logs — stored on device until you delete the App; server‑synced data deleted upon account deletion
• AI chat history — stored locally until you tap Clear; server‑side payloads not retained beyond the immediate request/response cycle
• Location and walk data — stored on device only; not transmitted to our servers
• Crash/diagnostic data — retained for up to 90 days

8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CONTROLS

• Access your data — email admin@dryfastingcompanion.com
• Delete your account and data — use the in‑app account deletion option or email us
• Export your data — available in Settings
• Opt out of AI Coach — simply do not use the feature; no AI Coach data is transmitted if you do not open or use it
• Deny location — you can still log walks manually without GPS
• Clear chat history — use the Clear button in the AI Coach screen

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA)

This App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact admin@dryfastingcompanion.com.

10. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact: admin@dryfastingcompanion.com.

11. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Our servers and third‑party providers (including Render and Google) may process your data in the United States. By using the App, you consent to your data being processed in the United States.

12. SECURITY

All data transmitted between the App and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No internet transmission is 100% secure.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
